Preparing for the VARC (Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension) section of CAT 2026 can feel challenging, especially for students who struggle with long passages or complex English. 1. Build Daily Reading Habit (20–30 Minutes)

Reading consistently is the fastest way to improve RC skills. Focus on diverse sources such as editorials, science articles, philosophy, economics, and psychology. This helps you get comfortable with different writing styles—just like CAT passages.

2. Practice “Active Reading”

Instead of reading passively, try to understand:

• What is the author’s main argument?

• What tone is being used—neutral, critical, analytical?

• What examples support the argument?

This makes solving questions much easier.

3. Focus on Inference Questions
