How to get student visa for the UK, Canada or Australia?

More than 600 student visa applications from Haryana and Punjab have been denied by the Australian Home Department in the recent months due to forged financial and academic credentials documents. All Indian students applying for student visas in Australia are now subject to greater scrutiny.

This problem is not exclusive to Australia. More Indian students are being turned away from popular higher education places like the UK and Canada than ever before.

As of 2020, India’s rejection rate for student visas increased to 57% from 34% in 2018. Last year, Canada abruptly rejected 60% of all Indian student visa applications within a matter of weeks. The rejection rate in the UK is 8.25 percent.

In July 2021, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) provided information to Parliament indicating that there were more than 2,15720 Indian students in Canada, 2,11,930 in the United States, 92,383 in Australia, 55,465 in the United Kingdom, and 20,810 in Germany. There is no database available for students who have applied for visas, despite the fact that the Bureau of Immigration (GOI) keeps records on all students overseas on student visas.

Even if the majority of consultants and enablers agree that visa refusals have always occurred, visa denial rates have never been this high. Due to a few bad apples, the issuance of study visas to legitimate students has also been generally delayed. The pupils and parents are suffering both material loss and mental anguish as a result.

Student, official, and Embassies struggles

According to reports, the MEA contacted the ambassadors and deputy chiefs of missions of eight nations, including the UK, US, Canada, and Australia, and requested that they quicken the visa application process for Indian students.

Since the decision to grant a visa is regarded as a sovereign act, Indian officials normally do not become involved in issues involving visas for other nations. However, the “very large” number of petitions from Indian students forced them to step in.

The missions in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, and Germany are also under increased stress as a result of the great demand for education in these nations. These embassies are limited by a shortage of funding and staff. It suggests that the majority of these application delays for student visas aren’t brought on by a lack of motivation, but rather by a lack of skill.

But rejections, such as those from Punjab and Haryana, frequently result from the candidate’s profile and their failure to demonstrate two things:

  • Their sincerity as a dedicated learner who will succeed in their international studies
  • a strong sense of connection to their country of origin, signifying their return

The former is far more difficult to measure because past academic performance in India is not a reliable predictor of future academic achievement in an international education system, whereas the latter is typically proven using financial assets in India, such as real estate.

In such a situation, a hybrid programme might be the best choice for people who want to pursue their academic goals in their favourite international education centre.

Hybrid Programs May Strengthen Academic Profiles of Students

With a hybrid programme, students can start their studies online and finish the first year or semester before spending all of their time on campus to get their degrees. Students from the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia may be able to earn the credits they want through online courses offered by a number of Indian businesses. Students can simply enrol in the universities of their choosing with the aid of such strategies.

Students could use it to show their sincerity and dedication in the face of India’s high visa denial rates. Students who participate in their classes online can also gain the academic abilities necessary to thrive at later-on overseas colleges. In other words, students who enrol in hybrid programmes stand a better chance of being admitted to their top choice of university and acquiring a visa.

In actuality, getting foreign students to institutions is a significant problem, especially for undergraduate programmes. The two main challenges are finding genuine pupils and those who are well-equipped to flourish in an international environment. A remote learning course can help universities choose the best students before they enrol full-time. The calibre of graduate students at universities is directly correlated with the calibre of undergraduate students there.

The Hybrid Program: More Advantages Than the Conventional Methods

A hybrid programme has many advantages for students who desire to study abroad, including easier university admission procedures and visa acceptance.

In contrast to the conventional 40-week time period, students can finish their one-year study in less than 26 weeks with a fast-track course. Students are given extended time to complete their visa and travel-related paperwork in addition to being able to advance their degree or make up for any time lost in their studies.

Because they may finish a portion of their coursework from the convenience of their homes, students can save lakhs of rupees on their education. Additionally, a hybrid programme enables students to create their own path to a global degree. For instance, in order to limit their possibilities, students can participate in a number of hybrid programmes from other colleges and courses.

Students who study abroad have many opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. Additional advantages include meeting students from throughout the world and learning about the local history, culture, and people. Such an event shouldn’t be hindered by rejected visa applications. One of the numerous ways students can make sure that nothing prevents them from attending their dream college is through a hybrid programme.

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
