NEET UG Counselling 2023: MCC’s Seat Matrix Adjustments

In a noteworthy development, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has made revisions to the seat matrix for the special stray vacancy round of NEET UG counselling in 2023. The committee’s latest updates involve both the addition and removal of seats, impacting the choices available to candidates during the admissions process. Aspiring medical students are encouraged to visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in to thoroughly examine the revised seat information before making their selections.

According to an official notice from the MCC, they have been in communication with several institutes regarding modifications to the seat matrix for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling in 2023. Here is a summary of the changes:

Additions:

  • Vinayaka Mission Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry
  • Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chennai
  • Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Karnataka These institutions collectively introduced three additional management seats for MBBS courses.

Removals:

  • Government Dental College and Hospital, Tamil Nadu, has decided to withdraw one dental seat originally allocated for the OBC category.
  • Government Medical College, Alwar, Rajasthan, has also opted to withdraw one MBBS seat previously designated for the OBC category.
  • Additionally, College of Nursing, RML (Ram Manohar Lohia) Hospital, has removed two MBBS seats that were initially intended for both open and OBC categories.

MCC has emphasized that the seats marked for removal will be excluded from the seat matrix for the Special Stray Vacancy Round of UG Counselling in 2023 before the seat allocation process begins. In contrast, the seats indicated for addition have been seamlessly incorporated into the seat matrix. As a result, candidates now have the opportunity to make informed choices based on the revised seat availability.

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
