What is ATD form – Details on filling ATD form

After nearly two years of restrictions for entry, the Australian Government is now opening its borders to all international students and workers, from December second half itself.  In this scenario, many people who are going to Australia will face several confusions regarding the paper formalities to get entry to Australia. This article is to give some details about the Australian Travel Declaration form, which is one of the most important documents needed to travel for Australia. 

Every state in Australia is demanding various requirements for international students and workers. Similarly, the quarantine methods are also different for each state. The people should go through the details, to know more about what specifications they need, for reaching there.  In these requirements, Australian Travel Declaration is one of the mandatory documents. This document is to provide details on your health status, declaring that your details are collected before charting your flight itself. 

ATD is a form that can be filled by the traveler as his own. The form can be completed in online or in computer itself. It is free charge form, which is available in internet. Also, there is an App for ATD, in both Google play store and Apple Store. The form should be filled for about 72 hours before the flight time. The form will state that your details on health are collected before your boarding itself. The procedure to complete the form is also given below, in detail itself.

• Download the app and sign in to it

ATD app is available in both Google Play and Apple Store. Also, it is available in website. First thing is to download that app in your device, and making an account for yourself in it. The process of creating account is same as like that in any other platforms. Once after creating the account by providing email and password, you can directly go for filing the form.

• Enter the required details

After creating account, you will be requested to fill details about your travel document, which is likely your passport. You have two options here to add it – either add it manually or use previously uploaded one, while creating the account. Both options will be accepted in this step. 

• Details on traveling

Here, you are asked to enter your flights details, like departing time, arrival time, and flight number and so on. When you are boarded with a multiple flight, you should enter the last country’s name (last before Australia) as departure country. Also, make sure that you enter correct flight number in the form.

• Provide health and vaccination details

This part is the vital one in the entire form itself. Here you are supposed to enter the details on your health, vaccination and quarantine details. Also, you will be required to upload the vaccination certificate. Make sure that you mention all the travel details of yours. You have to mention your travelling among states of Australia, within quarantine period as well as after it, in the form clearly.  Vaccination for COVID should also get recognized by Australian Government. The list of recognized vaccine s will be available in the official website. The vaccine should be taken at least seven days before the flight, whether it is any dose. Moreover, PCR test with negative report should also be submitted, which is taken just before 72 hours for the flight.

• submit after verifying

After entering all the details, check it for once or twice, to identify any mistakes, if there. Once you find it correct and proper, and then submit it. Remember that no modifications are available after submission. The copy of the form will be forwarded to your mail id.
