NEET 2021:  Details on MBBS and BDS Admission in Gujarat 

 

The NEET 2021 result was declared on November 1st 2021. Now, various states Universities are calling the students for MBBS and BDS admission under the respective universities. Nearly 870,075 students have cleared the NEET exam, and are now seeking admission for MBBS/BDS in various central and state universities. In the admission process, the counseling for MBBS/BDS in Gujarat is likely to start, in the upcoming days. 

 

The counseling for NEET Gujarat will be conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUMEC). There will be 5,650 MBBS seats and 1,155 BDS seats, according to the details got from the committee. In the counseling admission for 85% seats in Government colleges and 100% for private colleges are going to take place. This 85% seats will be completely reserved for state quota only. The details regarding the counseling and other procedures will be updated on the official website of the admission committee.

 

NEET Counseling Gujarat 2021: important points 

 

  • Authority – ACPUMEC (Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses)
  • Candidates must have filled the application form, given in the official website, in order to take part in the admission process.
  • The rank list will be prepared, according to the details given by registered candidates only.
  • Main components in the rank list – Roll number, NEET score, All India level Rank, rank in State merit level, status of qualifying, category, and so on.
  • The admission will be carried through the basis of merit list in the state level.
  • The whole counseling process will be completed as online.
  • The candidates must specify their choices and preferences, of colleges, for getting allotted through the process.
  • The admission will be done on the basis of several criteria like – NEET result, preferences, seat availability, reservation criteria, and so on. 85% of the seats are exclusively reserved for state quota only. 
  • Reporting in the allotted college, for verification of documents in mandatory, after getting shortlisted for admission.
