Details of NEET 2022


For NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), the conducting authority is NTA(National Testing Agency). NEET is an entrance exam conducted for providing admissions to the eligible candidates in the Medical Colleges of India for MBBS, AYUSH, veterinary and nursing courses.NEET is the top most examination of India conducted for the medical undergraduate courses. It is not convened in online mode, but is via pen and paper mode.

All the declarations for NEET entrance are done by NTA. Any notification about the conduction of NEET 2022 is not yet announced.


NEET is completely based on the syllabus of 11 and 12 class. The question paper of NEET is constituted of three sections physics, chemistry and biology.The general schedule of NEET conduction is usually the first Sunday of May month, around 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The registrations for NEET are supposed to start from the month of December. The interested students can fill up their registration forms to give the NEET.


Scope of NEET-


The score of need applied for the admissions in medical colleges for undergraduate courses like MBBS, BHMS,BMS. The admissions are provided to-


  • 15% medical seats of All India Quota (AIQ).
  • 85% medical seats of  state quota.
  • Seats of centralized and Deemed Universities.
  • Seats of central pool quota.
  • Seats of state, management, and NRI quota in private medical institutions.
  • To acquire admissions in foreign medical colleges too, candidates are required to qualify NEET.
  • Seats of private unaided, aided minority, and non-minority medical colleges are also provided on the basis of NEET scores.


NEET  2022 exam date-


All the important notifications regarding the NEET entrance exam will be uploaded on the official website. Including the dates for release of application form, admit card including the scheduled exam dates all will be uploaded provisionally on the official website.Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the website.


NEET 2022 eligibility criteria-


NEET has certain eligibility criterias like age limit, educational qualification, studied subjects, nationality,etc.The age limit required for a candidate to apply for NEET is at least 17 years of age at the time of seat allotment i.e. 31 December 2022.


To be eligible to apply for NEET, the candidate must be an Indian resident,  NRIs (Non-Resident Indians), OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), PIO (Persons with Indian Origin) or Foreign Nationals.


The candidate must have cleared 12th or must be appearing for the 10+2 ,then only he or she will be eligible for the NEET entrance.


The subjects included in the NEET entrance include physics, chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology. For NEET appearing candidates, English should also be a core subject from a known board.


Students have to score a minimum of 50% marks in physics, chemistry, and biology in the 10+2 exam. 

For the reserved categories SC, ST, OBC-NCL the minimum required percentile is 40.


Documents required in Application form-


Any sort of identification card (Aadhaar card, ration card, bank account passbook, passport, or any other government photo ID card) are required.Candidates name, date of birth, parent’s name,address, e-mail id, contact number must be filled in the application form.

Scanned passport size photo, postcard size photo along with signature and the candidate’s thumb impression are required too in filling of the application form.


Pattern of NEET examination-


The mode of conducting the exam is online. The question paper of NEET will contain three sections: physics, chemistry and biology. The exam will be scheduled to be conducted for 3 hours of duration. It will contain 180 questions. Each question carries 4 marks for the correct answer and -1 for the wrong answer.


Syllabus of NEET


The NEET entrance syllabus still remains unchanged, said the Health Ministry. Thus the syllabus of NEET will be the same as it was earlier- the entire syllabus of physics, chemistry and biology of class 11th and 12th.
