NEET 2021 Counselling: admission to colleges in Karnataka

 

The NEET exam for the year 2021 was conducted on 12th September 2021. Also the National testing Agency, who conducted the exam declared the results of the exam, on 01st November 2021. After the declaration of scores, students are now waiting for starting of the counseling process. This article is to provide details about the admission for medical colleges in Karnataka, by NEET 2021 counseling.

 

NEET 2021: Admission for Medical Colleges in Karnataka:

The counseling will be carried under the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). This will include counseling for both Government colleges and Private colleges of Karnataka. The eligible candidates should apply for the seat, through the official website. Also, 85% of the seats are exclusively reserved for state quota of Karnataka. The date for applying to the counseling is not yet declared. But it is expected that the process would start very soon.

 

NEET 2021- eligibility for admission in Karnataka:

  • Must be an Indian citizen, who qualified the NEET 2021 exam.
  • 10th and 12th standard should be completed only from any institution, based in Karnataka.
  • Candidate should have completed at least seven years of education in any Government school of Karnataka. Students who completed 11th and 12th in Karnataka are also eligible.
  • Mother language of students or parent must be either kannada, Tulu, or Kodava.
  • Candidate’s parent should be a resident of Karnataka State.

 

Important forms for counseling:

  • Allotment letter – downloaded from the official website
  • Admit card – NEET 2021
  • Rank letter – NEET 2021
  • 10th standard – mark sheet and certificate
  • 12th standard – mark sheet and certificate
  • ID proof –  must be issued by  any Government authority, valid and not expired
  • Photographs of the candidate – same photo attached to the application of the exam. It will be better to keep 8 or more photographs in hand.
  • Certificates to validate caste (optional)
  • Certificate to prove disability (optional)

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
