Till September 2021 ban on Indian flights decision by Canada

Federal transport ministry has given the statement in which its clear that till 21 September 2021 no Indian would be able to go to Canada because of risk of COVID- 19 pandemic, earlier also Canada had banned the direct flights from India.

This time also Canada has repeated its order just being safe, in april when India was dealing with 2nd wave then all the direct flights from India and to India  were banned by the Canada.

Everytime Canada is changing their decision of reopening of the flights just because of Covidd-19.

On Tuesday Omar Alghabra canada’s transport minister tweeted that health of their citizens is top priority for them , they can not put the life of Canadians into danger just by reopening the direct flights from and to India , this decision has been taken by them after reviewing the data of public health.

But still if Indian’s wish to go to Canada so they can opt for indirect flight to Canada condition being that  pre-departure negative Covid-19 molecular test result from a third country is required before continuing respective journey to Canada.

Other conditions being that if any traveler had tested positive for covid – 19 then they need to have proof of positive molecular test of covid – 19 between time period of 14 to 90 days before departure, here proof of positive molecular test is required not negative molecular test. And stay of 14 days is must in the third country before departing for the Canada.

Further it said that Canada govt. will remain in touch with Indian govt. and also with aviation department to ensure safe journey of the passengers directly from and to Canada whenever situation will allow.

This decision is applicable only to commercial and private flights, not to the cargo operations , medical transfers or military flights. They can continue without any restrictions and conditions.
