Dr NTR University of Health Sciences has released the UG Student Research Scholarships for selected students in 2022. The shortlisted students have been informed about the final projects report of UG Student Research Scholarships within 30th November 2022.  The students pursuing MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Nursing and Physiotherapy can apply for this before their final exams. 

Moreover, PG as well as intern students are not fit for this program. The research proposal should be submitted along with the application attestation form that is available on the website: www.ntruhs.ap.nic.in. UGSRS program had initialised to increase research interest among undergraduate students. The main aim of this course is to familiarise the students with the research methodology.

Almost 475 students can register for the program. There are 250 seats for MBBS, 100 seats for BDS, 25 seats for AYUSH, 100 seats for NURSING and 25 seats for physiotherapy. All the eligible candidates will be rewarded after submitting their respective reports of projects and after evaluation by the committee of PhD of the university. The student must head with a research in their respective institute under the guidance of a professor. In addition, the cost of research will be given by the respective institute. One student would work under one guide. The topic of research or work should be different for individual candidates. The students must submit one application on their topic of interest.

The proposal for research should include the following sections:

1. Title- within 250 words
2. Introduction- within 300 words
3. Objectives- within 100 words
4. Methodology- within 800 words
5. Implications: within 100 words
6. References- within 300 words

Style- Vancouver style only

The proposal must include a short description about the work plan of the research topic. One must clearly state the objective as well as the methodology. In addition the sample size as well as the statistical methodology should also be given appropriately. Moreover, the candidates can also include the report form along with the informed consent form or any other questionnaire. 

However, the protocols of clinical trials would not be allowed in UGSRS and must not be given to the authority. The informed consent must be needed on participation of humans in the research. The students can go through the Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research on Human Participants, 2017 as well as the National Ethical Guidelines for Biomedical Research Involving Children for detailed information.

After the acceptation of the proposal, one approval should be gained from Institutional Ethics Committee. Each student will be given a stipend of Rs 5000 each for 2 months only if the UGSRS report is approved by Dr. NTRUHS. The selected students must complete their research within the stipulated time of 2 months. The application must be submitted within 30th November 2022.

Students must note that those research topics which have already approved by other agencies of funding cannot be accepted by UGSRS-2022. The project or the proposal should not have information about the student or the guide to prevent unbiased reviews.
