NMC Increases Medical Seats?

NMC Increases Medical Seats?

The deadline for applying to undergraduate MBBS programmes has been extended by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Additionally, it announced the opening of new medical colleges and the expansion of medical seats at already existing institutions. Applications for medical colleges may be submitted until August 31, 2022.

The Medical Assessment and Rating Board of the National Medical Commission hereby extends the date and time for a receipt of the application up to 31.8.2022 (6 PM), according to the NMC’s most recent announcement.

The registration date is August 10, 2022, as stated in a previous invitation to apply from July 21. The deadline has now been extended until August 31. The NMC clarified in March that medical colleges requesting an increase in MBBS seats should have obtained LOP and completed the one batch of MBBS. Additionally, the medical colleges need to have been acknowledged. Medical aspirants from all over the nation have recently organised a number of protests to demand an increase in the number of medical seats in Indian colleges.

Following complaints from medical students, a decision was made to raise the number of seats in medical colleges. Following the Covid-19 outbreak, many foreign students were forced to return, including those who were studying in China, Ukraine, and the Philippines. After that, some students from Indian medical universities in Ukraine returned. These kids are concerned about their academic future because they were left stranded in the nation.

Client Testimonial

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
