EWS CRITERIA FOR MBBS ADMISSIONS

EWS CRITERIA FOR MBBS ADMISSIONS

With regard to discussion about the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) quota, the Supreme Court announced that the same criteria and guidelines will be applicable for the next academic year, 2022-2023 as well. The trial was carried by Justice DY Chandrachud after a petition by a PG student was put forth asking about the same issue.

In the discussion it came to knowledge that the process and other details for NEET 2022-23 will be discussed at a later date, with a speculation on March. The petitioners also states that they wanted an extension for the editing their choices keeping in view the EWS guidelines. But for the unversed, the judge did not carry this forward and asked it to stay as it is.

He stated that it doesn’t work with the prospectus of the guidelines. It has been in talks that a new writ will be petitioned soon for the admission related procedures as there is no news yet. Subsequently, the petition was withdrawn as it was against the mandate. In the petition, they wanted more clarity in details and requested a revision in EWS criteria.

Though the doctors have sought for relief, the questions have remained unanswered till date. The wait is for the Dr. Neil Nunes case regarding NEET PG 2022-23 and further judgements will be done only after this. The doctors have also wanted the ‘Edit Option’ to have an extension but it remained unanswered.

Client Testimonial

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
