BFUHS STARTS ROUND 1 OF ONLINE COUNSELLING 

Baba Farid University of Health Science (BFUHS),  has carved a name for itself in the field on medicine in the recent years. It is known for its exemplary name in research and for bringing out well-versed graduates and post graduates from it’s institute. Just like how any modern day medical related admissions requires counselling, BFUHS has also unavoidably followed the same path. A recent notice that has been making rounds tells us that the BFUHS has officially released their dates for the 1st Round of the Online Counselling procedure for medical related admissions for the year 2021.

The official website of the BFUHS has updated the important details about the schedule so all the candidates who are seeking MBBS and BDS admissions into the college are compelled to take note of the same. According to the circular, between 19th and 24th January 2022, candidates are to give their 1st preferences for the online counselling round. Between 25th and 29th of the same month, the seats will be allotted with a strategic process. The subsequent results will be announced by the 31st of January 2022 after which candidates can start their admission procedures and finish it all by the 7th of February. 

For the unversed, An Act was passed by Punjab Legislature in July, 1998 which brought Baba Farid University of Health Sciences came into existence. The University aims at creating an interesting academic atmosphere while keeping in mind the intellectual areas and maintaining a good physical environment.  The university primarily wants to achieve their motive of upholding a conducive nature and encouraging a free flow of ideas between various faculties of the University. They also want to enlarge their scope and support exchange of information between their bubble as well as other Universities of Health Sciences. They believe is instituting a good relationship with the education field both nationally and globally. This will help in more research-based ideas and will this give health sciences a new identity in the days to come. It also wants to bring about health professionals, planners, scientists, and other science-based workers, a new ray of imagination to open the doors to new analytical solutions. 

Going back to the roots of the university, BFUHS was established, keeping in mind the legacy left behind by the great Sufi Saint Baba Farid. The Punjab government put this under the state legislature with the help of an act. In July 1998, this Act came into consideration and has been on track ever since. 

Although, this is the fifth of its kind in India, BFUHS is the first type in North India. Punjab Government was well appreciated for taking this fantastic step. Other states gave Punjab the deserving credit for establishing such a deemed university. The main reason behind starting this was because of the inadequate number of health professionals in the country. This led to an imminent need for quality health and frontline workers. The University’s sole motive is to undertake the name and change the dimension of health and medical sciences worldwide. In recent times, it has also worked in developing efficient models of Health Care. It has also committed to providing the society with essential services and ensure that health care is not compromised in any way. 

BFUHS comes under the Government of India’s highly recognized Universities.  The programs offered by the University ie., MBBS, MD, Nursing, PG Diploma, etc has set a new benchmark in terms of developing medicine technology.
