Although few months before the exam are considered very important as they can conceive your dream of applying to a prestigious college or destroy your dream.

Tips and Tricks to crack NEET

  1. Master the tough concepts first
  2. Create distinctive study styles
  3. Create a mind map
  4. Focus on the NCERT portions
  5. Try out practice papers
  6. Steer clear of unnecessary distractions
  7. Follow a healthy diet and never compromise on good sleep

  1. Master the tough concepts first

Starting with the preparations firstly start with the concepts that have a high level of difficulty and more weightage in NEET. Try to learn these concepts with in-depth knowledge, practicing their questions. Give appropriate time to learn these concepts. If these concepts contain dome formulae then write them down and keep revising specifically in the last days for the exam.

  1. Create distinctive study styles

Everyone has different styles for recalling information. Some people prefer images and graphs to just plain text. While some people prefer concepts related to real-life situations. Learning techniques working for you may not work on other people and vice versa. Some methods you can adapt to grasp concepts can be preparing mnemonics for concepts like scientific names, classification of organisms.

For example- Kreb’s cycle

Citrate → Aconitate → Isocitrate → Oxalosuccinate → α-Ketoglutarate → Succinate → Fumarate → Malate → Oxaloacetate.

Try to make sentences using abbreviated forms of the concepts. This helps in remembering the concepts easily.

For example- ‘Citric acid is one key substrate for mitochondrial oxidation’

OR – ‘Caesar’s Armies Invaded Other Kingdoms Searching for Oranges’.

Such sentences can help you in retaining formulas and complex concepts.

  1. Create a mind map

A visual map created in your mind by combining concepts is called a mind map. These techniques work when we have many concepts to learn. By laying out a map in your mind, you can recall the information fastly. Details should be added with proper ease so that concepts are not grouped and remain segregated during the exam.

  1. Focus on the NCERT portions

The syllabus covered in the NEET exam is from NCERT. The NCERT contains topics with in-depth researched material. Keep yourself updated with the new paper patterns and also on the weightage each chapter carries. This can help you in prioritizing the chapters with more weightage.

  1. Try out practice papers

Trying previous years’ papers is an important part of preparing for any exam. Every year examiners follow a standardized pattern in setting the paper for NEET. Previous year’s papers give us an idea about the difficulty and type of question asked in the exam. Appearing for a Mock test can help you in understanding the amount of preparation is still needed. These papers can assist you in reviewing your errors, resolve doubts, and enhance performance.

  1. Steer clear of unnecessary distractions

A strict timetable should be followed while preparing for NEET because time management is an important concept. Scheduling your day can help you in determining the amount of time needed to be spent on certain concepts. If you wish to relieve your stress then invest your time in your favorite hobby. This can save you from spending unwanted time on social media, watching movies, etc.

  1. Follow a healthy diet and never compromise on good sleep

In any circumstance, one shouldn’t compromise on health. A well-balanced diet and a good amount of sleep are very necessary. Such practices relieve your brain of any stress.

What to do during the exam?

There are 3 important things one should keep in mind during an examination as follows

Attempt your strongest subject first– Answering such questions helps you in increasing your confidence. Without panicking you can answer the questions and worry less about your answer is wrong.

Don’t attempt the answer if you don’t know it– Don’t try to attempt the questions you aren’t aware of or you are less sure regarding the answer. NEET consists of a negative marking system.

Stay calm-  Panicking and stressing out can lead you to a state where you are unable to recall your answers. This will make all your efforts go in vain.

Use above mentioned tips and tricks in qualifying for the NEET exam.

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
