How international students can increase their score for Ontario citizenship nomination

The Ontario PNP which is an abbreviation for Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) can be a way for international students studying in Canada to gain Canadian citizenship. Since accepting the Expression of Interest (EOI) choice system in spring, Ontario’s International Student Stream has currently requested its first group of aspirants to the PNP draw. This citizenship pathway is now fundamentally based on EOI points, which ranks aspirants primarily based exclusively on human capital and employment marketplace components which include age, painting expertise, and knowledge.

People that can be benefitted from the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programme (OINP) are international students who are studying in Canada or international workers. An EOI pool profile is compulsory for the nominees of the International Student Stream with a score of 77. The aim of this program is to employ more experienced and educated people in the market.

Applicants are scored based on a variety of factors like whether education is completed from Canada or they have experience of working in Canada. But if you don’t have that many factors working in your favor then you can always increase them by using other ways.

Following are some suggestions to increase your EOI score for PNP.

Earn a higher qualification

One of the important factors considered in the ranking system is educational background. Your degree level determines the number of points you are gonna score. For example Ph.D.- 10 points, Master’s degree-8 points, Bachelor’s degree-6 points. If you have completed your education in Canada then you may score extra points.

Not only the degree level matter but the course opted also matters. l

Like if you have a degree from branches like Engineering or Healthcare then you gain more points than the applicants from the arts or management field.

Secure a job in Canada

If you wish to get nominated for the OINP International Student stream then it is essential to have a job in Canada. Nature of job is an influential factor. Three categories are created based on job type namely Type O/A/B. Type O is for people working in the management industry. Type A is for people working in healthcare or is engineers or accountants in short professions requiring a university degree. While Type B is for people working in the technical and trade sector for example as construction workers, doing retail jobs.

Your salary can also gain you extra points. Like jobs with salaries around 40,000 Canadian dollars obtain 3 points.

Brush up on English and French

The Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) is a system that evaluated the language proficiency of a candidate. This system evaluates abilities like reading, writing, listening, and speaking in English and French. You can score extra 5 points if you are graceful in any national language.

Have an Ontario PNP game plan

Due to the current situation because of the pandemic, international flows are halted for some time. Make good use of time by preparing answers to questions like When do you want to apply for citizenship? What career do you want to build in Canada? Are you sufficiently qualified for it, and if not, how can you get there?

It’s additionally important to hold abreast of immigration updates. Follow the federal and country immigration money owed on social media, focus on what ministers are telling, and look out for brand spanking new chances consisting of extra attracts or courses. Contract an agent or hyperlink up with a pal or member of the family who’s acquainted with the Canadian immigration system.

Client Testimonial

MBBS Abroad is a big decision and your success depends upon the honesty of your consultant. It is a long process starting from choosing the right college to reaching there at college door step and finally studying there for next 5-6 years. You are in a new country without many old friends. We were sure to approach a consultant who is based out of our district only so that not only during admission but for next 6 years, we can have smooth interactions. So, we approached GKWorks as they have a branch in Saharanpur. As we anticipated, there are lot of things to be done during admission process that goes for 3-4 months. At every step, it was useful for us to have our consultant who was only 20 minutes’ drive from our home. We were able to discuss everything face to face any day and thus were able to have easy process.
