Counseling schedule for MBBS 2019 JIPMER

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research has notified the schedule of the first MBBS counselling on the bases of Entrance Test held on 2.6.2019. For the first counselling number of students short-listed is 10 times the number of seats available.

The seat distribution (Pondicherry, Karaikal in that order) and the rank eligibility for counselling are as follows:

UR: 55 (Pondicherry), 19 (Karaikaal), Rank up to 750; OBC: 28, 9, up to 370; SC: 15, 5, up to 200; ST: 7, 2, up to 90; P-UR: 22, 9, up to 310; P-OBC: 10, 3, Up to 130; P-SC: 5, 1, up to 60; P-ST: 3, 1, up to 23; NRI/OCI: 5, 1, 60.  Horizontal Reservation is applicable for PWD category. PwD: 5, 1, up to 60; P-PwD: 2, 0, 2.

The counselling is scheduled at JIPMER, Puducherry-06 as per the following schedule:

  • UR/PwD & P-PwD on 26.06.2019 (Wednesday)
  • OBC / SC / ST on 27.06.2019 (Thursday)
  • Puducherry-UR/OBC/SC/ST & NRI/OCI on 28.06.2019 (Friday)

The Reporting Time on all days is 8 am.

For PwD & P-PwD candidates Medical Board will be held on 25.06.2019 (Tuesday) and the reporting time is 9 am at JIPMER, Puducherry.

Candidates will be able to attend the counselling only after verification of Biometric finger print, Photo and Certificates. On page no.30 of the Prospectus, list of certificates needed is mentioned. Also the candidates need to download their individual Rank Letter from www.jipmer.edu.in

We live 100 Km’s away from Varanasi. The internet connection in our town is very weak and my parents are not that educated. For us, understanding the word RTGS was also very difficult.
