REVISION TIPS FOR CRACKING NEET 

 

Since NEET 2021 is coming to an end, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is currently working on all the procedures of NEET-UG 2022. Every year, NEET sees medical aspirants of all ages, largely the student sector. It is a physical examination that is mandatory for any medical admissions in India. The registration for the same happens through the online medium The registration for the 2022 edition is set to commence in February or March 2022. 

 

NEET has undoubtedly one of the hardest and most complicated exams to crack. Keeping all these hardships in mind, a candidate needs to be prepared and well-versed in all the subjects. The question paper pattern saw many changes over the past year. According to the pattern, the questions will be asked from 4 subjects of the Science field, Chemistry, Physics, Botany and Zoology. 

 

The first section consists of 35 MCQs which are mandatory to solve. The second section consists of 15 MCQs which gives candidates the option to solve any 10. Every correct answer gives 4 marks and for every incorrect answer, there is a negative marking of 1 mark. The total valuation of the paper is 720 marks. Keeping in mind all these, here are some tips to help you prepare well for NEET 2022.  

 

  1. FOCUS ON BIOLOGY

Since more than 50 percent of the paper comprises Biology questions, one should focus on the biology sector. With this in hand, one can score marks easily with the Biology portion of the question paper. 

 

  1. STUDYING FROM NCERT BOOKS

Over the years, the NEET question paper asks questions that are directed right from the NCERT books. It is also proven that nearly 80 percent of the paper comprises questions from NCERT. So learning from this syllabus will help in scoring good marks.  

 

  1. WORK ON OLD QUESTION PAPERS 

Solving the previous year’s questions will help you to get familiar with the subject. Practicing these will help a candidate to analyze the sections which one is going wrong with. Doing these regularly will help in securing good marks.  

 

  1. SHORTEN AND MAKE YOUR WORK EASY 

Making notes, flashcards, mind maps, etc will help in shortening the work. Since biology requires a lot of practice, short notes will help in last-minute preparation. Usage of pictures and graphics will help in making work easier. This will also help in learning the diagrams.  

 

  1. REVISE, REVISE AND REVISE 

No matter how many times you have revised, keep doing it again and again. This will help a candidate to remember notes and not forget any important points while appearing for the exam.
