NEET UG and PG state counselling 2021
Most recently, the counselling sessions for the All-India Quota (AIQ) were extended for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In The view of this, the latest announcement to follow is that, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has urged all counselling bodies of all states in India to reschedule the planned time table. The MCC also made it clear to the bodies that the state counselling sessions should commence only after MCC has finished the AIQ counselling. It should be done in round basis while formulating all procedures.
It also announced in clear words that states should revise their schedules as early as possible to comply with the demands of the MCC. All policy documentation should be done purely on the nods put forth by the Supreme Court under the all the liability of the law and order. The new schedule should be as per the extended directions which are yet to be finalized. It should comply with the direction of the court and maintain the discipline in counselling sessions with every change that occurs.
The DGHS sector of MCC had requested for representation of the same. It also enquired the DMEs of each state to find out if any difficulties are faced with regard to the revision of schedule. It came right after noticing that the AIQ UG and PG counselling being conducted by MCC of DGHS and the state sessions are on the same date which may pave way for some hindrances.
Keeping all factors in mind, MCC reiterated that it will give itself the first priority by allowing counselling for MCC first, after which the states can go ahead with counselling under the AIQ purely on rounds basis.
