MBBS IN MAHARASHTRA

Every year National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts a National Eligibility CUM Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for getting admission in the field of Medicine. Around 15 lakhs students appear for this exam every year but many fewer students can qualify. After the completion of the exam after few days, results are released. Depending on the overall score of the country a cut-off is declared. Students who scored more than the cut-off are declared eligible to take admission to medical colleges. As per the scores, a merit list is released, and depending on this list students are allocated seats as per their ranks. In Maharashtra, the responsible authority to release the merit list and allocate the seats to students is the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). The DMER releases all the information related to NEET on their official website info.mahacet.org. The total number of seats in Maharashtra for MBBS and BDS are 9,000 and 3,52 respectively.
