NEET 2019: Check All India and State Quota Counselling details and EWS Quota

Result of NEET 2019 was declared on 5 June at ntaneet.nic.in. Out of 1410755 candidates, a total of 797042 candidates have qualified NEET 2019.

NEET 2019: Category-wise Cutoff Scores are given below:

Unreserved (UR) – 50th Percentile

Unreserved Physically Handicapped (UR-PH) – 45th Percentile

Scheduled Caste (SC) – 40th Percentile

Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 40th Percentile

Other Backward Classes (OBC) – 40th Percentile

SC-PH- 40th Percentile

ST-PH- 40th Percentile

OBC-PH- 40th Percentile

NEET 2019 Counselling

The NEET counselling schedule will be announced on the homepage of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website www.mcc.nic.in.

Types of NEET 2019 counseling and their conducting bodies:

  1. All India Quota (AIQ) Seats (except in J&K) (15% seats) – DGHS, on behalf of MCC (Counselling Body)
  2. Seats at Deemed and Central Universities (100% seats) – DGHS, on behalf of MCC (Counselling Body)
  3. IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges – DGHS, on behalf of MCC (Counselling Body)
  4. Seats at Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) – DGHS, on behalf of MCC and AFMC Pune (Counselling Body)
  5. State Quota Seats and State Private Colleges (85% seats) – Respective State Counselling Authorities

NEET Counselling 2019: EWS quota

In NEET UG this year 10 per cent EWS quota will be valid in MBBS admissions. This reservation has resulted in increase of seats approved by MCI. Whereas qualifying percentile is same as of unreserved categories which is 50 percentile. Separate counselling will be conducted for this category.

NEET 2019 Counselling Procedure

Counselling will start from the second week of June 2019 . Counselling will be held for the 15% of All India Quota seats (except for colleges of Jammu and Kashmir state), all the seats of Central and Deemed Universities, seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune. state authorities will organize State level counselling separately for state Quota seats. Admission will be on the bases of the merit, category, and availability of seats in colleges.

 

  1. Registration:

Steps to register for NEET Counselling 2019:

(i) Go to https://www.mcc.nic.in/ and select ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link.               (ii) Click on ‘New Registration’ link, enter required details and then click ‘Submit’. You will be provided a new Roll No. and Password. Using them register for NEET Counselling.

(iii) Revisit the web portal and select ‘Candidate login’.                                       (iv) Enter your Roll number and Password. Click Submit.                                                 (v) Enter details like your name, roll number, mobile number, registration number and mother name. Click on ‘Submit’.                                                                                  (vi)  Verify the information displayed and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. You will be provides with a registration Slip. Take a printout of the registration page.

  1. Choice filling and locking: 

In this you have to fill the choices of course and colleges. It is advised to choose the preferences in order of the priority.

  1. Seat allotment result: 

After choice locking the seat allotment result will be declared within few days. SMS or email regarding allotment of course & college will be sent to candidates.

  1. Report to the allotted college: 

To confirm their seat candidates report to the allotted college after the seats are allotted within the time limit.

Documents required at the time of attending NEET Counselling 2019:

  • NEET Admit Card
  • NEET Rank Letter
  • Class 10 or 12 certificate and marksheet
  • ID Proof
  • 8 passport sized photographs (Same as the one affixed on the application form)
  • Provisional Allotment letter generated online
  • Domicile Proof (only for state quota seats)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
